Specialist Skills
International business development:
- Established operations in three countries for global corporate development company Results International. Devised the business development plan for the entry into Europe of leading independent New York PR and Investor Relations firm Makovsky & Co.
- Transformed loss-making marketing communications agency MMC Sweden into an internationally recognised B2B branding and communications consultancy with operations in Stockholm, Malmö, London and San Francisco.
Commercial management:
- Restructured operations and reversed losses in the above within year 1.
- Grew client numbers by 115% and produced a four-fold increase in revenues by year 3.
- Helped create the business strategy which resulted in a $10m. offer of funding for an IT start-up.
Global brand planning and marketing communications:
- Delivered integrated cross-border campaigns in telecommunications, technology, life sciences, healthcare, financial services and other B2B sectors.
- Repositioned the Siemens Electro-Medical brand in multiple product areas and across all global markets.
- Led the team that won “Best Global Business-to-Business Campaign” award at the New York International Advertising Awards for successfully repositioning the Pharmacia Biotech brand.
- Currently partner in a company with a unique online global editorial placement offering for B2B companies. We have an unrivalled interactive database of approximately 12,000 editors of leading trade publications in more than 50 business sectors across over 100 countries. Our clients are essentially blue-chip global companies but the service is perfectly attuned to the needs (and the budgets!) of SMEs.
- Currently also associated (via my company Oyster Associates) with senior internationally experienced professionals with companies operating in marketing research, design, digital marketing, public affairs and corporate communications on behalf of corporate, SMEs and government bodies.
