WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOUR BUSINESS
I focus on helping my clients to maximise their entitlements to Australian Government assistance for companies investing in innovation or Research & Development (R & D).This is a complex area where it is not clear to many managers and accountants as to exactly what comprises R & D. Even companies already registered for assistance are not optimizing the extent of their entitlements nor complying with record keeping requirements. Where companies have annual turnover under $5 million, annual R & D expenditure under $1 million and accumulated tax losses, they may be entitled to cash back from the Government of up to $375,000 per annum. Where they exceed these limits, they can be entitled to significant tax credits.

HOW I DO IT
I have in depth knowledge of the extensive Government guidelines for R & D entitlements.

This could include processes such as

• I work with clients to prepare the required documentation and use the calculation methods as prescribed in the Government documentation.
• I ensure that ongoing documentation follows the prescribed guidelines.
• This process leads to optimization of the Government assistance that is an entitlement to Australian companies investing in innovation and R & D.

EXPERIENCE
I have held senior positions within a number of Australian Government Departments, followed by an extensive management consulting career.This spanned over 20 years and covered almost all industries. As a management consultant, I was Managing Director of a software company that successfully claimed extensive government R & D assistance. Since becoming an Associate of the IIB I have assisted a number of companies to lodge submissions to receive R & D entitlements.
