WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOUR BUSINESS
I help business owners and Boards to identify the optimal strategic growth pathway for their business, irrespective of their starting point.

I then help them to follow this pathway and hit its growth targets by working alongside the Owner Operator, making sure they get the right mixture of people, processes, technologies, intellectual property and brand awareness to meet the market’s demands.

HOW I DO IT
I would like to say that somewhere, in my years of blood, sweat and tears as a turnaround specialist, I picked up a natural ability to look at complex situations and identify the pathway and whole-of–business changes that need to be adopted to follow it. In reality, however, it’s not like that at all!

It is true, I concede, that I do have a passion for understanding what makes a business tick; for finding and understanding the ‘nitty-gritty’ drivers that do/could create value for it. Having said this, I also like to take a great deal of time looking for and understanding the market’s desires and where a business could be re-packaged to meet these.

Once these two are clarified, the optimal strategic pathway often opens up and the method of re-arranging or restructuring the business in a way that will help it follow the pathway becomes evident.
After that I am just like a dog with a bone!

EXPERIENCE
I am renowned as a committed and skilled leader and a creative problem solver with a passion for excellence. My professional experience is diverse and includes more than 15 years in special situations management, particularly in the areas of start-up, turnaround and interim management.

For most of this time I have specialised in working with companies, Boards and shareholders who are under pressure and, typically, not in a ‘normal’ relationship with their bankers. To this end I have both acted as an Interim CEO and also a Board advisor to several private, public and government owned enterprises in Australia and abroad.

My roles have included rehabilitating companies with the IMF and World Bank, founding a joint venture enterprise for Deloitte, cleaning up commercial messes in Asia during the late 90’s currency crisis and troubleshooting for the government and Sultan of Brunei with global advisory powerhouse, Andersen.
